Infinix — a sub-brand of Hong Kong-based Transsion Holdings — launched its budget-friendly SMART 2 smartphone in India earlier this month. Today, the brand introduced another affordable smartphone called the Infinix Note 5 that will retail exclusively on e-tailer site, Flipkart, across the country. The successor to the infinix-note-4-price-in-india boasts of a full view 18:9 aspect ratio display, a beefy battery, and a stock-Android experience.
The Infinix Note 5 is the first smartphone from the brand with Android One. It comes with Android 8.1 Oreo pre-loaded and is entitled to future timely upgrades directly from Google. Infinix ships the handset with a glass back and a big 6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen up front with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels and slightly thin bezels. It’s powered by a MediaTek Helio P23 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz, paired with 3GB/ 4GB RAM and 32GB/ 64GB storage. The storage is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the camera front, the Note 5 sports a single 12-megapixel sensor on the rear with 1.25-micron pixel size and LED flash. As for selfies, it employs a 16-megapixel shooter, which is said to deliver impressive selfies even in low light. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Lastly, the smartphone is fueled by a 4,500mAh battery.
The Infinix Note 5’s price in India starts at Rs 9,999 for the base variant and Rs 11,999 for the top-end model. The handset will be available for sale exclusively on Flipkart starting August 31st.
